Tall Personal Shopping: Guest Outfit for a Wedding in a French Castle
One of our Canadian tall ladies requested tall personal shopping help. Jenny is attending a formal wedding this Summer in a French castle. Doesn't that sound like a dream? I'm so jealous! Jenny's body stats and criteria: She is 5'11" and in her mid-thirties. She needs a formal looking dress and it also needs to be easy to pack for traveling. She wants her back covered. The wedding is in the afternoon and the party afterwards will last through the rest of the day and includes dinner and dancing. Layered Tall Look with Military Inspired Accessories
I saw these TROOPA boots and my mind went crazy with options. This outfit is my attempt at a cool, chic, and neutral look. I am always encouraging our tall readers to take risks. If I'm being honest, this outfit would be a risk for me! I alternate between preppy chic and glam. Typically if I were to wear the skinny jeans pictured, I’d throw on knee high boots (either 3 inch heels or flat riding boots), a chunky sweater, and a bright necklace. That’s my uniform. The layered tee with the sweater, the military inspired boot, and the edgy earrings would be a stretch. But one I’d gladly embrace. I am in love with military anything. I once saw a photo of Russian military uniforms and about died. I literally ripped it out of the magazine and hung in my closet. They were beautiful. Tall Personal Shopping: A New Year, A New Tall Wardrobe
I received a personal shopping request from Rebecca who is ready for a whole need wardrobe. She feels like she's in a rut and has no idea how to dress. Rebecca is 32 years old with a 34"-36" inseam depending on shoe height. She wears a size 11 shoe. She has always been relatively thin and was placed on medication that made her gain a lot of weight. Lately she's lost most of it and is now wearing a size 10 or 12. She says "I have been buying unflattering fat clothes for the last few years, now I have nothing up-to-date in my current sizes. I am pretty conservative, but I am always up for new and trendy clothes - I love clothes. I am just horrible at picking them out and mixing and matching." Rebecca needs a new pair of jeans, work clothes, comfy shoes as she lives in Europe and walks a lot, and would like a leather jacket.
