Tall Jumpsuits For Every Age

I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve shared fun finds and inspiration with you!  I have a really good excuse which I blogged about on my personal blog today! (You can see that post here).  Let’s just say I may be highlighting a few more maternity looks in the coming weeks! :)  I’ve been very sick on and off and have put any “extra” energy into the weekly newsletter!  But I’m feeling better lately and hope to be able to blog here more frequently!

Today I wanted to highlight some fun finds from a favorite partner.  I love rompers, one pieces, jumpsuits–whatever you want to call them.  But it can be tough to pull off depending on your body type, age, and personal style.  I thought it was interesting that the three offered in tall sizes at Alloy right now seem to neatly fit into three age categories.  Now, I always have to give the disclaimer each time I mention dressing for your age or stage in life that there really are no hard and fast rules! If you like it and feel confident in it, then by all means go for it.  (I love and would rock all three!).  But some people are a little hesitant and want guidance on the matter.  So these are just guidelines!

20+: Royal Blue Destructed Overall.  I have always loved overalls!  I’m not sure if I can pull them off in my early 30s but if I wasn’t going to be gaining an  annoying amount of weight soon, I’d try!  In any case, for the teens and twenty somethings, these tall overalls are adorable!  They look pretty cute with the midriff top as pictured but for the more conservative bunch keep it simple with a cute tank or tee.  Just make sure you wear cute sneaks or trendy wedges to keep from looking too farm-y!

30+: Spoon Olive Jumper.  This tall jumpsuit is pretty and classy.  There seems to be a tiny bit more room in the bodice and a little more slack in the legs so it might be more forgiving than the denim overalls.  I love them with the simple heel.  Add over-sized studs or eclectic wooden earrings and you’re ready for date night.

40+: Spoon Printed Jumper.  I’d definitely rock this tall jumpsuit as well (I love them all!).  But if you’re nervous, this piece is definitely the easiest to pull off!  The print is sophisticated, and the flowy-ness (I realize I’m making up words here) hides figure flaws.  Add a blazer and it’s even more conservative, but still stylish.

How would you style these looks?  Are you a fan of one pieces?  Which is tall jumpsuit your favorite? The middle one is calling my name!
