Various Tall Clothing Reviews

Last week was Spring break and it was so much fun! We drove our motor home to San Diego for some salt water therapy. Mr. Tall drives the Winnebago like it’s a Corvette and it’s always an adventure! While there we rented a boat for a few hours and we tubed “Mission Bay”. I also tried paddle boarding and must admit that either it’s harder when you are tall or maybe I’m just getting old. Ugh!  I fell in the bay twice, but ended up figuring out my balance for the last 10 minutes.  My teen sons had no problem figuring it out.  At least they didn’t laugh too hard when I fell in. But, I loved paddle boarding, so it’s something I will try again. I’m rocking a painful sunburn (not on purpose) – seems my Swedish skin burns easier these days. Here’s a couple of pictures to show you what we did.

We drove the entire way home yesterday (12 hrs) and my 3 year old got ill and was vomiting the entire way home and all of last night.  So today my brain is mush! She’s finally watching a few cartoons so I thought I’d do a few product reviews of items I’ve purchased lately.

Tall Product Reviews

women's tall rash guard

Tall Rash Guard

I wore this tall rash guard in San Diego. I am no longer interested in getting a tan as I’ve had too many pre- cancerous moles.  This rash guard did the trick. It’s hip length and comfortable. I bought mine in white and liked being able to see my swim top through the fabric. It’s also available in tall, plus sizes. I’ll be packing it in my suitcase when I go to the Bahamas next month.

Neon Cropped Khakis

Last month Tiffany blogged about these neon khakis and I decided I had to have them. Yes, they are a cropped length, and I may be the only tall woman who likes cropped pants, but I really like them!  I have some lousy genes that left me with varicose veins after I had children. A few years ago I went to get the veins lasered. The first laser treatment got rid of about half of them. But, during the 2nd treatment the technician turned the laser too hot and permanently scarred my legs.  Yep, be careful so this doesn’t happen to you! :(  So I am no longer comfortable wearing shorts, but cropped pants help me feel like I’m dressing in Summery styles with the extra coverage to hide my scars. Anyway I bought the green and orange color. The orange is more on the pink side and the green is true to color. They are comfortable and lightweight.

women's tall wrap tops

Tall Wrap Tops

When I arrived home from our trip, I found these two wrap tops had arrived. After trying them on, I find the white wrap top – is made of jersey and is more sheer than I prefer.  The animal print wrap top is not see through (yeah). Both seem to be the same shape and are too low cut for me to wear without a tank top underneath. I suppose you could pin it with a brooch or safety pin. Overall, the length hits on my lower hip which is quite long as I have a long torso area.  I will be keeping both.

By the way, this past week I also updated the women’s tall white shirts & tunics section!

I hope this posts makes sense, I’m going to try and get my Princess to take a nap and I’ll do the same! Have a great Monday!

  1. I bought the animal print top too and love it, but find it runs big. I usually need a medium(wear a size 8 or 10, 36D) but the medium is huge on me. Thought I’d mention it for anyone debating between two sizes.

  2. Thanks Tamara! I thought it was a tad bit big, but with a large chest, I kind of appreciate that. But, good to know.

  3. So jealous you got to go to San Diego. Sounds like tou had fun. Thanks for reviewing all these items!
