It’s Tall Tuesday and today’s feature is the puffer. I have always loved puffers. And I have…well I’m not willing to admit how many I have. Especially since I’m sort of tempted to add to my collection due to the adorable finds I’ve featured in this post. Puffers are fashionable and functional. They’re perfect for those cool days that don’t require a full coat or those outdoor activities where you want to be warm and cozy but not look so…winter-ish. Even when it gets cold, I often wear mine when I’m out running errands and in and out of the cold–don’t you hate it when you wear a big coat and then you get inside of a store or the mall and you’re either
sweating profusely perspiring or lugging around a huge winter coat with you?! Yeah, me too! Enter the puffer. I’m sure there are more creative ways to wear one but I’m going to keep it simple with my advice on this one: jeans. Skinny jeans tucked into tall boots or flared jeans with cool sneakers: you choose. This is a comfy cute look. No need to over complicate it! Okay enough chatting. Here are my Pretty Puffer picks:
Gap Fur-trim puffer vest (Tall). This stylish number comes in 3 colors. I love the rich red shade and the faux fur trim on the hood. Those elements along with the structured seams give this one an edge over the average puffer.
Old Navy Women’s Quilted Frost Free Vest (Tall). This inexpensive number comes in TEN fun shades–including a grown up grey tweed. It’s a perfect neutral to wear with your colored denim or cords and you can’t beat the price. Old Navy’s current deal is 15% off everything (including sale items). That brings this puffer to the low, low price of $17! Ends 10/9.
Victoria’s Secret Long Puffer Coat. While this isn’t a tall item, it’s length is 45 inches. This is the glam girl’s version of a puffer. It’s especially fitting for those of you who are afraid of looking like a marshmallow! The belt and seams give your waist some definition and keep you looking fierce on the outside and warm and cozy on the inside.
J. Crew Wintress Puffer. Last, but certainly not least–J. Crew’s Puffer available in Tall sizes and four fabulous winter shades (my favorite is dark artichoke). I love its name–“Wintress.” Perfect for this stylish and warm, high quality goose down filled coat. If a puffer can be beautiful, this one IS!
