Attention! Military Inspired Fashion for Tall Women.

ha, did you like my silly title?  I seriously was envisioning standing at attention in full salute.  Perhaps I’m re-living my JROTC days?  Or just really excited about military fashion!  Or both.  Well imagine my delight when I saw “military jackets” as an upcoming trend for fall.  I have always loved military inspired fashion.  And even though I’m a big fan of wearing what you want (while perhaps loosely following trends), I have to admit knowing that something is “in,” makes it feel a little….safer to wear.  Which is kind of silly. I know.  But enough about me.  Keep reading for my picks featuring military inspired fashion for tall women:   Long Tall Sally Military Coat. - I have to warn you that this beauty is sold out in most smaller sizes.  But plus sized tall women rejoice.  And order one.  Pronto!  It’s also on sale! Can’t beat that! Victoria Secret Wool Military Coat. - this doesn’t come in tall, unfortunately but it’s so adorable it may be worth the risk.  It’s 36 inches and those sleeves look pretty long.  I’ve ordered outwear from VS before and it seems to run on the long side.

Naughty Monkey “Battlefront” Boot. Up to size 10.  Naughty Monkey “Stomper “Boot. Up to size 10.  Modcloth “Into the Night” Boot. Up to size 11.

I love military boots as well.  First, they are typically comfortable (flat with a round/wide toe).  Secondly, they instantly add a dose of chic to something as boring as jeans and a t-shirt or sweater.  Can’t go wrong…

French Connection Military Long Line Cardigan. LOVE this cardigan–the style, the fit, the rust color that screams fall!  Though not tall, it’d be easy to layer a tall button up or tall tee under it with the longer sleeves peeking out.  I’d don this with super skinny cords and one of the boots featured above. Dorothy Perkins Cream Military Skirt Dress. Fighting the urge to buy this.  Fighting HARD.  Under $30 and simply adorable.  Although it’s a “dress,” I’d wear it as a tunic with skinny jeans. Linea Pelle Vintage Military Waist Belt. I love the toughness of this belt.  I’d try it over a flowy tunic or blouse to balance tough with sweet. Eddie Bauer Travex® Vest (in Tall). This is my comfy pick.  Pair it with a long sleeve tee, skinny jeans, and Ugg boots or converse and you’re ready for an activity that requires comfort. Cute comfort. Gap Military Belt. I usually don’t go for green unless it’s a bright kelly green.  But this military green with the gold embellishments has me rethinking my stance.

What about you?  Are you inspired yet?  Let me hear a “YES, Ma’am!” ;)
