Tall women come in all different shapes and that should be embraced. As much as we would like to be, we’re not all molded like Gisele. Whether you have an athletic and straight build, or have lots of curves, there are easy styling tips just for you. We want you to be able to easily dress yourself when you look in your closet, not shake your head in frustration and say “I have nothing to wear.” Keep reading to see inspiration looks, specifically for your body type.
THE THIN BUILD
When you have a straight and thin build, be happy. Models get paid lots of money to look like you. However, there might be times where you want to create the illusion of curves. Opt for dresses that have ruffles, tiers, prints and embellishments. You want to create volume. We also love belting at the waist to 1) accentuate your tiny waist, but 2) this literally will carve out a curve in your clothing to make give off the look of an hourglass figure. For your accessories, stack a bangle set up your arm and carry around a great shoulder bag.

TOP HEAVY OR CURVY
You were blessed with curves, but sometimes you don’t know how to handle them. First off, you want to start with a really good bra. This is something you should invest in because a bra that has amazing support will prevent back problems. Next off, you want to get a gorgeous wrap dress or faux wrap dress. Not only do wrap dresses look great on tall women, they look fabulous on top heavy or curvy women. Dresses and tops that don’t form fit you up top hang from your bust, often making you look overweight or pregnant when you aren’t. Get a great necklace and cocktail ring to finish off your look

PEAR SHAPE
There are tons of women that are pear shapes and they look gorgeous. To dress with your curves, wear a dress with a full bottom. Full skirts are also a great option for this if you prefer to work with separates. Tall women are in luck because they can get away with purchasing tall maxi dresses or ankle skirts without having to hem like a shorter woman would have to. And to prevent your bottom half from weighing down your look and making you look squatty, slip on a pair of high heels or wedges to elongate your appearance. Tall women look fabulous in heels, so they definitely shouldn’t be discounted!
