We received an email from a tall woman needing help finding flattering jeans that fit. Her problem is that she’s all leg (most people would love to have this problem). Anyway, she has a 36″ inseam, very short rise and is curvy. If she buys jeans to fit her hips, it gaps at the waist. However, she also has athletic thighs, so traditional designer brand jeans are very tight in the thighs.
Our Solution:
We believe that custom made jeans from Indi Denim are your best answer. They allow you to design your jeans to your size and shape. There is even a question asking you if your waist normally gaps. If you don’t want to design your own, they also have pre-designed jeans from the custom collection. You still enter your own measurements. The two pairs above are from the custom collection. We have chosen 1. The Noe Harper – a relaxed fit, low rise, wide leg jean (more of a casual jean) 2. The other jean we have chosen is the Presidio Doyle Trouser fit jean with low rise and wide leg (a bit dressier jean).
If you design your own jean, we really love the Japanese fabrics as they are very modern and have a small amount of stretch. Dark fabrics are also very slimming.

If you are not ready to spend the money on custom jeans, here is another option that may work:
- Paris Blue back-flap stretch boot-cut tall jeans (no 36″ inseam, choose 35″ or 37″). These have gotten great reviews from curvy girls that have smaller waists. Cons- they tend to stretch out a little with wear.
